Heath Chip Cookies Recipe

Yum.

Yum. Yum. Yum.

Who doesn’t love Heath Bars? (Ignore this post if you do.)

This was originally a chocolate chip cookie recipe I found online and tweaked, but I ran out of chocolate chips one and used heath instead = Major hit.

Heath Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 box (3.5 oz) of instant vanilla pudding (I use sugar free)
  • 2 eggs (cage free!)
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cup all purpose flour (or 1 c. all purpose, 1 1/4 whole wheat)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk Chocolate Heath Bits
  • 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. preheat oven to 365*F
  2. cream together butter and sugar in mixing bowl
  3. Mix in pudding mix, eggs, and vanilla until well combined
  4. separately, combine flour, salt, and baking soda; add to creamed mixture and mix well
  5. fold in Heath bits and chocolate chips
  6. bake for 7-8 minutes* or until lightly browned around edges

*The original recipe said to bake for 10-12 minutes, but my oven is unusually fast. To be safe, I’d just check at 7 minutes.
